Welcome to Cloudsplitter Mountain Guides LLC.

Cloudsplitter is the culmination of a combined thirty years of local experience, inspiration and aspiration to offer full-service professional mountain guiding in the Adirondack mountains. From our base in Keene Valley, NY we do it all- from introductory rock and ice climbing here in the North Country to select alpine and adventure climbing expeditions in greater ranges. In addition to our combined decades of experience in the Adirondacks, Cascades, and Alaska, all of our guides are Certified (at a minimum) by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) as Rock Instructors or Single Pitch Instructors and are in pursuit of the resume, training and practical exams for continuing advanced and international certifications. Cloudsplitter guides are also licensed by the NY state Dept. of Environmental Conservation, and all of our programs are fully insured and permitted. 

Aside from the 'hard-skills' though, we mostly like to have fun and adventure in the mountains, and enjoy sharing great outdoor experiences with others. We are career mountain guides, committed to professional responsibility and quality service. We strive to make the most of our guests' experiences and, in doing so, inspire a lifetime of mountain adventures. Come join us!
