Cloudsplitter rates and policies are determined by a Business Model for Sustainability that balances the relative cost of our programs with the costs of: legitimate and competitive business practices, professional AMGA training and certification for our career guides, comprehensive liability insurance, legal permitting on federally managed lands, a living wage for our full-time working guides and a positive contribution to the sport and tourism industry in our small mountain community.

Cloudsplitter guides also believe that low guide:climber ratios are integral to the most rewarding experiences. While low-ratio programs are more expensive than high-ratio institutional programs, we believe that low-ratios allow for adaptable programming, more effective risk management and the potential for significantly more accomplishment in a given day. The decrease in environmental and social impacts in wild areas also makes for a more rewarding experience.

Five-Day Intensive Program - Pay up front and save $25/person/day on our daily 1:1 rate with a 5 day (annual) pass- climb or ski for an intensive full week or spread out your days on rock, ice and snow over the course of a full year!

Backcountry Climbs. Backcountry climbs and trophy mountaineering objectives on Wallface, Colden and Gothics that require an alpine start and extended day or a multi-day camp (includes group meals & equipment):

• 2:1 $400 ($200 per person)
• 3:1 $525 ($175 per person)

Roger's Rock climbs include an additional logistics surcharge of $25/climber for kayak/canoe and campground access fees.)

Open enrollment Summit Climbs and Ski Tours are offered at a flat rate of $200/person.

Group Climbing Programs (schools, workshops and custom group outings) are offered at the flat rate of $110 per person, with a maximum enrollment of four participants per guide. Larger groups will be assigned an additional guide and may be subdivided into smaller subgroups to utilize separate locations.

Cloudsplitter Expeditions are offered on a per-trip basis, usually with a per-day fee that is priced on a 'cost plus expenses' basis, including the per-diem guide's rate plus necessary travel, logistics and permitting expenses. When possible, Cloudsplitter may suggest compatible partners to share the expedition with. Contact us for details.

 

*Due to scheduling demands, all programs require advance reservation and a non-refundable $50 per person, per-day minimum deposit. In the event of cancellation or conflict, a refund or credit may be given at the Cloudsplitter's discretion.
