SPECIAL EVENTS Winter 2010-11

Mt. Colden and the Avalanche Pass slide from Marcy Dam

Last week has been absolutely stellar around here- warm (50s-60s F) with sunny days and cold, clear nights. The early snow has yet to retreat from up high while the rock climbers have been getting their last fixes in down in the valleys. After scoring probably the earliest climb ever of Gothics North Face, Emilie snuck in a scrappy wet lap up Mt. Colden's Trap Dyke route last week and I got in a icy fast ski lap up and down Whiteface via the Toll Road.

Usually our winter season doesn't really get rolling until after Thanksgiving, but since it's coming in early this year- it's pretty close to game on now (depending on what you want to do.) But if you're eager to shake off that Seasonal Affective Disorder with some climbing time outside- give us a call.

In addition to our standard private guiding and instruction, we're pleased to once again be working with our friends at the Mountaineer at the annual Mountainfest and Backcountry Skifest events.

dyna_logo_priority_framed_neg.jpgWe're also psyched to be working with the folks at Dynafit on several unique, small group ski events:  'Nachtspektakel' - an evening of ski touring and dinner up on the mountain at Whiteface, and a Ski Mountaineering Camp for solid skiers looking to take it to the next level. Check out our schedule of SPECIAL EVENTS.
