Recent Places

As part of their (endless?!) pursusit of AMGA / IFMGA certification, Cloudsplitter guides have been climbing and skiing all over the country this spring and opened the door to some exciting new venues for future programs with our guests.

Vince makes the scary moves on Fiddler on the Roof, Black Velvet Canyon.

In March, Emilie spent three weeks on an AMGA Ski Guide Course in the Salt Lake City area skiing in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains before heading down to Red Rock National Conservation Area (just outside Las Vegas) for some windy and sunny desert rock climbing and an AMGA Aspirant Rock Guide Course/Exam.

Another storm rolls in...notice how green the desert looks!

Jesse just returned from an AMGA Aspirant Ski Mountaineering Guide Course/Exam in Valdez, Alaska, where he had the chance to ski steep powder in a world class destination. (video coming soon...)

We're both glad to be back home in the Adirondacks and are looking forward to the spring rock season here and more alpine adventures in the North Cascades later this summer.
