Adirondack rock climbing: Game on!

dennis3.jpg.JPG

What we love most about the Adirondacks are the distinct seasons. In April we wrapped up a solid 6 month ice season (for that matter, the ski season is still hanging on up high for the super diehards!) Those who ventured here in April as the season wound down were rewarded with fantastic conditions for ice, rock and skiing. Some of our best days in April included a little of everything- a 'trifecta' of ice climbing in the morning, rock climbing mid-day, and corn skiing in the afternoon. 'Livin' the dream' as we're fond of saying.

What's next? A couple weeks of 70 degrees & sunny weather have made for a seamless transition into rock season, and now it's game on.

These images of our friend Dennis practicing crack techniques up at Owl's Head and then putting them to the test on multi-pitch routes at Pitchoff Chimney Cliff are a great example of what we have to offer here and the style of professional guiding we're best at. One guest described us as 'walking libraries of information' for the way we integrate learning new skills while at the same time applying them on fun and rewarding objectives. It's a unique combination of instruction and guiding that helps our guests build their own skills and experience and enjoy a classic guided climb at the same time- for any ability level! It's also what sets our guides apart as career professionals, committed to providing a highly qualified and rewarding experience for all of our guests.

So if you're thinking about climbing this summer, visiting the Adirondacks for the first time, building your skills, ticking off classic routes, learning specialized crack techniques, or prepping for that big alpine trip this summer- give us a call- and you can live the dream too!
