The heart of the Adirondack ice climbing scene: Chapel Pond
Chapel Pond, with it's abundant single and multi-pitch ice and mixed routes- fared better than most places during the January thaw. (It's all good now!- With the cold conditions even Roaring Brook Falls has frozen up nicely). While weekends are getting busier there, on weekdays (even Fridays) we often have the place to ourselves....click on the arrows below for slides of some of last week's action:
