Wallface Mountain in the High Peaks Wilderness

The leaves are just starting to turn up high and it's hard to believe how sunny and dry it's been. What a great summer! Now is the best time of year to climb in the backcountry here- and there's no better place than Wallface Mountain, deep in Indian Pass. Five miles in and 900' high, Wallface is one of the East's wildest big cliffs. Here's a handful of slides from the classic and popular Diagonal (III 5.8) and Out With the Boys Again (II 5.7)- a less travelled but high quality route worth checking out on the south end. I look forward to getting out there again with Bob next week!
